Builder-grade reliability with custom-home craftsmanship. On-schedule dry-ins, code-compliant detailing, and clean punch lists — every time.
Huntersville Roofing Company is operated under JMR Home Builders LLC — which means new construction isn't a side hustle for us, it's in our DNA. We partner with production builders, custom home builders, and general contractors across Huntersville, Cornelius, Mooresville, Davidson, Denver, and the greater Charlotte metro on single-family homes, luxury lakefront builds, townhomes, and small multi-family projects.
The difference on a new construction job isn't the shingles — it's the coordination. Missing a dry-in by 48 hours backs up framing, HVAC rough-in, and insulation. Sloppy flashing at a roof-to-wall transition triggers a failed inspection. Leftover nails in the driveway make the builder's client question everything. We run the roofing scope the way a GC runs the whole project: tight, communicated, and clean.
Architectural asphalt shingles are the default on 90% of new homes in the Lake Norman and Charlotte markets — they look great, hold up to NC weather, and give buyers the curb appeal they expect. For higher-end homes and custom builds, we install standing-seam metal (popular on modern farmhouses and lake homes), synthetic slate, and cedar shake when the architecture calls for it. On townhome and multi-family projects, we scope value-engineered packages without sacrificing the warranty.
Building in a new Lake Norman development? We work in virtually every active subdivision from The Point in Mooresville to Cambridge Grove in Huntersville to ByChance Farms in Denver. Ask about volume pricing and HOA-approved shingle palettes.
If you're building a custom home and your GC is deciding between roofing subs, call us — we're happy to provide a separate bid directly. We walk your blueprints, identify potential problem areas (complex valleys, cricket drainage around chimneys, transition flashing at turrets/dormers) before framing starts, and help avoid the change orders that plague custom builds.
Every new construction roof we install comes with documented warranties transferred to the homeowner at closing — both manufacturer (materials) and our own workmanship warranty. We provide a digital closeout packet with shingle specs, underlayment batch numbers, ventilation calculations, photos, and inspection sign-offs. Your builder looks organized. Your buyer gets peace of mind. Everybody wins.
Both. We handle multi-lot production schedules as well as one-off custom homes, and we scale pricing accordingly.
For production builds, we prefer to be on your rolling 6–8 week schedule. For custom one-offs, 2–3 weeks notice is usually plenty. We make it work regardless.
Yes. Send us the elevations and roof plan and we'll turn around a preliminary number within 48 hours. We always want to walk the actual roof before finalizing, but you'll have real numbers to plan around.
Absolutely. We calculate required intake and exhaust based on attic square footage and match the system to the roof geometry so you pass inspection and avoid moisture problems down the line.
Yes — both manufacturer and workmanship warranties transfer. We provide a digital closeout packet that can be handed to the buyer at closing.
